Ingredients
Scale
Crust
- 2 cups crushed graham crackers
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Jello Layer
- 1 package (3 oz) strawberry Jello
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
Cream Cheese Layer
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
Vanilla Pudding Layer
- 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 1/2 cups cold milk
- 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
Topping
- Additional whipped topping
- Sliced strawberries for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the crust: In a medium bowl, mix the crushed graham crackers with the melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish to form an even crust. Place it in the refrigerator to chill for 15 minutes to set.
- Make the Jello layer: In a separate bowl, dissolve the strawberry Jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved, then add 1/2 cup cold water. Refrigerate the mixture until it thickens slightly but is not fully set, about 30–40 minutes.
- Prepare the cream cheese layer: Beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in 1 cup of whipped topping until evenly incorporated. Spread this mixture evenly over the chilled graham cracker crust.
- Prepare the pudding layer: In another bowl, whisk the vanilla pudding mix with cold milk for about 2 minutes until the mixture thickens. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping gently. Carefully spread this pudding layer over the cream cheese layer.
- Assemble the Jello layer: Once the Jello is slightly thickened, fold in the chopped fresh strawberries. Spoon this mixture gently over the pudding layer, spreading evenly.
- Chill and serve: Refrigerate the assembled dessert for at least 4 hours or until fully set. Just before serving, top with additional whipped topping and garnish with sliced strawberries as desired.
Notes
- Ensure the Jello is only partially set before mixing in strawberries and layering to prevent it from soaking into the bottom layers.
- For added texture, sprinkle crushed freeze-dried strawberries or chopped nuts on top before serving.
