Description

Delicious and healthy Dark Chocolate & Blueberry Frozen Yogurt Bites that combine creamy Greek yogurt, juicy fresh blueberries, and rich dark chocolate. These bite-sized treats are easy to make, naturally sweetened, and perfect for a refreshing snack or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Yogurt Mixture

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (or vanilla yogurt for sweetness)
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (optional, for flavor enhancement)

Mix-Ins and Toppings

  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (or chopped dark chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Yogurt Base: In a mixing bowl, combine the plain Greek yogurt with honey or maple syrup and vanilla extract if using. Stir well until smooth and evenly mixed for a sweet and flavorful base.
  2. Add Blueberries and Chocolate: Gently fold in fresh blueberries and dark chocolate chips into the yogurt mixture, distributing them evenly throughout for consistent flavor and texture.
  3. Spoon into Molds: Using a spoon or small cookie scoop, portion the yogurt mixture into silicone molds, mini muffin tins, or small paper liners, filling each cavity about three-quarters full.
  4. Freeze the Bites: Place the filled molds in the freezer and allow them to freeze for at least 2 hours or until completely solid.
  5. Serve and Store: Once frozen, pop the yogurt bites out of the molds and serve immediately. Store any leftovers in an airtight container or freezer bag in the freezer to keep them fresh.

Notes

  • You can substitute vanilla yogurt for plain Greek yogurt to make the bites sweeter without added sweeteners.
  • Use dark chocolate with at least 70% cocoa for richer flavor and added antioxidants.
  • These bites are best consumed within one week for optimal freshness.
  • For a nuttier twist, sprinkle a few chopped nuts on top before freezing.
  • To remove from molds easily, briefly run warm water on the exterior bottom of the molds.
