Description

This Creamy Ranch Beef Bowtie Skillet combines tender ground beef, bowtie pasta, and sweet corn in a rich, flavorful ranch cream sauce. Ready in just 30 minutes, it’s a comforting one-pan meal perfect for busy weeknights, topped with shredded cheddar cheese and fresh parsley for extra deliciousness.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 can (15 oz) sweet corn, drained (or 1 ½ cups frozen corn)
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (or 2 tablespoons homemade ranch seasoning)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Sauté Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the beef and cook for 1 minute until fragrant, stirring frequently to avoid burning.
  3. Add Liquids and Seasoning: Stir in the ranch seasoning mix, beef broth, and heavy cream until combined. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  4. Cook Pasta: Add the bowtie pasta directly into the skillet. Cover and cook over medium-low heat for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, until pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  5. Add Corn and Butter: Stir in the drained sweet corn and butter, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through and melt the butter.
  6. Finish and Serve: If using, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, cover again for 2 minutes to melt. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter dish.
  • For a homemade ranch seasoning, mix dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, salt, and pepper.
  • To make this recipe vegetarian, substitute ground beef with plant-based crumbles and use vegetable broth.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
