Description

Cookie Monster Fluff is a fun and colorful dessert combining creamy vanilla pudding, whipped topping, and crushed chocolate chip cookies for a fluffy, indulgent treat. This no-bake dessert is perfect for parties or a sweet snack, offering a delightful blend of texture and flavor with vibrant blue coloring and chocolate chip garnishes.

Ingredients

Scale

Fluff Base

  • 1 package (5.1 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt for a lighter version)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup blue food coloring (or gel, for more intense color)

Whipped Topping

  • 1 (8 oz) container of whipped topping (Cool Whip)

Cookies and Garnish

  • 15-20 chocolate chip cookies (such as Chips Ahoy or Oreo)
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fluff Base: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and milk until it starts to thicken. Stir in the sour cream (or Greek yogurt), powdered sugar, and blue food coloring, mixing until smooth and evenly colored.
  2. Fold in the Whipped Topping: Gently fold in the whipped topping (Cool Whip) until the mixture is smooth and fluffy. Be careful not to deflate the whipped topping; you want to keep the fluffiness!
  3. Crush the Cookies: Take the chocolate chip cookies and crush them into small pieces, either by hand or using a food processor. You can make them as big or as small as you’d like, but a medium size works best for texture.
  4. Combine the Cookies and Fluff: Stir the crushed cookies into the fluffy mixture, being careful not to crush them too much. You want some texture from the cookies to remain!
  5. Chill: Cover the bowl and refrigerate the Cookie Monster Fluff for at least 2 hours, or until ready to serve. This allows the flavors to meld together and the fluff to set.
  6. Serve: Before serving, garnish with mini chocolate chips on top for an extra sweet touch. Serve chilled and enjoy this fun, cookie-filled treat!

Notes

  • Use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream for a lighter, tangier flavor.
  • Blue gel food coloring will provide a more vibrant color than liquid food coloring.
  • Adjust the amount of powdered sugar to taste depending on sweetness preference.
  • For best texture, do not over-crush the cookies; medium-sized pieces add the best contrast.
  • Make sure to chill for the full 2 hours to allow the fluff to set properly.
