Ingredients
Scale
Sliders
- 12 mini brioche buns or slider rolls
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 6 slices cheddar cheese (halved)
- 1 cup cheese puffs (crushed)
Sauce
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 teaspoon mustard
Topping
- 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to get it ready for baking the sliders after assembling.
- Prepare Patties: In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently to distribute seasonings evenly. Form the mixture into 12 small patties, each slightly larger than the diameter of your slider buns.
- Cook Patties: Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook each patty for 2 to 3 minutes per side until they are browned and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Prepare Buns & Sauce: Slice the slider buns in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves of the buns in a greased baking dish. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard to create the sauce. Spread a small amount of this sauce evenly on each bottom bun half.
- Assemble Sliders: Place one cooked beef patty onto each sauced bottom bun. Top each patty with half a slice of cheddar cheese, then sprinkle crushed cheese puffs over the cheese. Place the top halves of the buns on each slider.
- Finish & Bake: Brush the tops of the assembled sliders with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds over them if using. Cover the baking dish loosely with foil to keep the sliders moist.
- Bake: Place the covered sliders in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes. This allows the cheese to melt perfectly and the buns to warm through.
- Serve: Carefully remove from the oven and serve the cheese puff sliders hot for the best flavor and texture experience.
Notes
- For extra crunch and flavor, try mixing some crushed cheese puffs directly into the burger patties before cooking.
- You can use flavored cheese puffs to add a unique twist to the sliders.
- For a leaner protein option, substitute the ground beef with ground chicken or turkey.
- Make sure not to overmix the beef to keep the patties tender.
- These sliders are perfect for parties, game days, or casual family dinners.
